Course Description:  Presents the history of psychic phenomena from ancient to modern times and discusses attempts to understand and explain such phenomena.  Reviews modern parapsychological research discoveries, and examines perspectives of natural sciences, social sciences and arts.  Includes classroom experiments and demonstrations.  Lecture 3 hours per week.

Course Objectives: 

·         To research and analyze parapsychological  content and its controversial material and to explore the authenticity and bases of anomalous phenomena.

·         To explore parapsychology through the eyes of scientists, doctors, and hypnotherapists who have been on the cutting edge of the paranormal.

·         To demonstrate and increase intuitive awareness for students that they may utilize these as life long learning skills.

·         To demonstrate the healing within the emotional, mental, and causal body and how disease manifests in the  physical body.

·         To investigate the different studies that involve parapsychology

·         To examine the parapsychology study centers within Virginia and North Carolina.

·         To explore the different instruments used in paranormal investigations.

·         To explore the information from Dr. Ian Stevenson at UVA

·         To examine the mediums that were produced in the “spiritual movement” in the late 1800’s

·         To differentiate between parapsychological experiences and  the paranormal process

·         To explore the 19^th century Fox Sisters and the spirituality movement

·         To explain dreams

·         To examine clairvoyance

·         To explore mental telepathy

·         To look at  the chakras

·         To demonstrate auras in the human energy fields

·         To demonstrate how ghosts have unfinished business

·         To examine reincarnation

·         To explore ghostly photography

·         To investigate paranormal activities in Virginia

·         To understand the language used in Parapsychology

Course Prerequisites:    Ask questions and have an open mind

Course Requirements:

·         Class participation

·         Organization of class materials

·         Journal:  personal experiences

·         Field Trips to local documented haunts

·         On-line searches for Parapsychological materials

·         Communications will be kept up via e-mail

·          Attend class

Course Information

Description of Course:
Presents the history of psychic phenomena from ancient to modern times
and discusses man’s attempt to understand and explain such phenomena. 
Reviews modern parapsychological research discoveries, and examines
perspectives of natural sciences, social sciences and arts.  Includes classroom
experiments and demonstrations.

Objective:
To understand the paradigm of healing and the creative process within the personal journey. To appreciate the light of one’s own empowerment and to understand the energies that are dealt with on a daily basis has impacted the course of events and the way they are handled.
To understand the gift of healing
To examine the Chakra system
To explore a healing plan for yourself
To use physical body for a spiritual habitat
To observe the auric interactions during relationships
To examine our Divine Core
To understand the four dimensions of the human energy field
To explore the healing of colors
To chart for finding the fear under our primal feelings
To examine and explore any negativity
To recognize  colors in auras
To see the positive results from dissolving the negative nature
To differentiate the schizoid character’s auric defense
To recognize how to stop the schizoid defense in a pull reaction
